FocusPay — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 4 November 2026. Version: 1.0.0.
FocusPay is a Chrome extension that shows a balance, idle-tab time, cashback partners, and referral information in its popup, and shows a cashback badge on shopping sites.
What FocusPay stores, on your device only
All of the following are stored only in the browser on your own device, using Chrome local storage. Nothing in version 1.0.0 is sent to a FocusPay server, because there is no FocusPay server in this version:
- A locally generated user ID, used only to show your referral code in the popup.
- Balance, total earned, idle time, affiliate clicks, cashback balance, and payout history shown in the popup.
- Your settings: idle earning on or off, notifications on or off, daily goal, payout method, and a PayPal email address, only if you type one into Settings.
- Whether you were active today, used only to show earnings state in the popup.
What FocusPay checks, on your device only
- To find idle tabs, the extension checks your open tabs locally for their URL and last-accessed time. It does not read page content, and it does not send tab URLs anywhere.
- On shopping sites, the content script checks only the site hostname, for example amazon.com or etsy.com, to decide whether to show a cashback badge. It does not read page content, passwords, payment details, or anything you type, and it does not send that hostname anywhere.
- Merchant names and cashback rates shown in the popup are fixed values in the extension itself. Clicking a merchant in the popup opens that merchant's website in a new tab.
- All code in this version is included in the extension package. It does not load or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly.
What FocusPay does not do
- It does not sell, rent, or transfer your data to third parties.
- It does not use your data for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending.
- It does not track you across sites, and it contains no third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
- It does not collect or transmit your browsing history, page content, passwords, or payment card details.
Your control
In FocusPay Settings you can turn idle earning and notifications off, export your stored data as a file, or clear all stored data. Clearing data resets earnings and settings on that device.
Future changes
If a future version adds an account, a server, real affiliate tracking, or real payouts, this policy must be updated before that version collects or transmits any data, and the new version must say so clearly.
